We’re still posting the interviews that we filmed at the Classical Association conference (yes, we were extremely busy that weekend…). This week it’s the turn of Dr Paolo Monella from the University of Palermo, who gave a very interesting paper on issues of copyright, patronage and digital dissemination. Unlike much recent work in the field of digital humanities, this paper did not focus on new technologies for studying ancient texts and objects – rather, it drew attention to aspects of Latin literary production that might help us to think through the very modern problems of how to manage the digital reproduction and dissemination of classical scholarship.
