Linking the Ancient World Online, with Sebastian Heath

Sebastian Heath is Research Assistant Professor of Ancient Studies at
New York University’s Institute for the Study of the Ancient World. At
ISAW he is working to establish a program of digital publication.
Initial results are available at

http://dlib.nyu.edu/awdl/isaw/amheida-i-otrim-1 . He is also a member
of various field projects, including Projekt Troia at ancient Troy in
Turkey, where he collaborates with other team members on the
publication of Roman pottery (see
http://classics.uc.edu/troy/grbpottery ).

Just prior to this interview, Sebastian co-hosted the National Endowment for the
Humanities funded “Linked Ancient World Data Institute” (LAWDI). In
this interview, he and Elton Barker talk about ISAW and the role of
digital publication in meeting its mission to create connections
between and ideas, and also about the inspiration for LAWDI, where
Elton was a presenter.
